Unless otherwise specified, the raster images and GIS layers (shapefiles) on this page are georeferenced to the master site grid at Moundville, which corresponds to the local UTM coordinates (zone 16). Sometimes these coordinates are reported in a truncated form, including only the last four digits to the left of the decimal point. Here the full UTM coordinates are used. The geodetic model has the following parameters: datum, NAD 1927; ellipsoid, Clark 1866; semi-major axis, 6378206.40; flattening-ratio denominator, 294.98.
