How to Install

This is a quick guide to installing the Post Analysis Toolbar for ArcGIS. Before you begin, you need to have ArcGIS 9.0 or greater and Microsoft's .NET Framework installed and working. The .NET Framework can be obtained from windows update but ArcGIS must be purchased from ESRI.

The first step is to download the installer. Due to internal alterations of ArcGIS by ESRI, we have provided two installers. One is for ArcGIS 9.0, the other for ArcGIS 9.2. If you have a different version, please click here. You will be presented with a window much like the one above. Just click "run" and wait until you are presented with a window like the one below.

At this point, simply click "Next" and you should see a window like the one below.

Make sure to change the setting at the bottom of the window from "Just me" to "Everyone". You may also specify an alternative directory in which to install the extension. Once you are done here click next.

Eventually, you should see a window like this one. Click close to finish the installation and close the installer. Then run ArcMap. As soon as it opens, ArcMap will present a window like the one below.

Simply close this window with the "X" in the top right corner and bring up the "Tools" menu. From there select "Customize..." like below.

A window should appear like the one below.

Scroll down and click the check box for the Toolbar called "Post Tool Bar." This should cause a toolbar to appear much like the one below.

At this point simply close the Customize window, close ArcMap, and you are done. If you haven't checked recently, please check windows update for updates do the .NET Framework. There will be both a users manual and a developers manual in the directory in which you installed the Toolbar that you can read for more information.

This installation contains both and User's Manual and a Developer's Document which can be unzipped by executing either UserManual.exe or DevelopersDoc.exe which can be found in your ArcGIS Post Analysis Toolbar folder.

Also note: The source code is included with this project. Feel free to use it or any portion of it in your own projects.
