Lesson 5.4. Artifact Ethics
Social Studies (1996 version, implemented and tested.)
- Grade 4, Goal 2: Anthropology, psychology, sociology -- the learner will assess the influence of major religions, ethical beliefs, and aesthetic values on life in North Carolina.
- Objective 3: Analyze economic, social, and political situations which involve ethical and moral dilemmas.
Guidance (1998 version, implemented but not tested.)
- Grade 4, Goal 3: The learner will demonstrate responsible social skills and an understanding and application of being a contributing member of society by being able to:
- Objective 2: Show understanding of self-discipline and responsibility as important characteristics of citizenship.
English Language Arts (2001 version, implemented but not yet tested.)
- Grade 4, Goal 2: The learner will apply strategies and skills to comprehend text that is read, heard, and viewed.
- Objective 5: Make inferences, draw conclusions, make generalizations, and support by referencing the text.
- Objective 9: Listen actively by:
- asking questions;
- paraphrasing what was said;
- interpreting speaker's verbal and non-verbal messages;
- interpreting speaker's purposes and/or intent.
