This is a mosaic view of a two-by-two-meter block containing Feature 1 (north is at top). It was created by taking vertical photographs of each of the four one-by-one-meter excavation units and piecing them together. Feature 1 represents the bottom of a circular, trash-filled pit that likely dates to the 1770s. It contained portions of several Catawba-made pots and a broken snaffle bit (an iron bridle bit). Return
