This is a refuse deposit found just below the humus at the southwestern edge of Locus #3. When initially discovered in spring, 2003, a pistol gunlock, two halves of a snaffle bit, a harness buckle, and part of a doorlock were removed. The remaining artifacts, seen here in situ, include a pistol barrel (top left), a pistol frizzen (just right of barrel), a worn out shovel blade (top right), an articulated snaffle bit (bottom), a buckle (just right of snaffle bit), and a bent iron rod (to right of barrel).
