This is a mosaic view of the excavation block at Locus #3 that contained Feature 8, the base of a cabin chimney. It was created by taking vertical photographs of each of the 12 one-by-one-meter excavation units and piecing them together. Feature 8 is the reddish-orange area at the top center of the mosaic. A faintly visible tree disturbance, Feature 9, is located at the bottom left corner of the mosaic. A cluster of large Catawba potsherds was found at the western edge of this disturbance. Return
